TAKII Website Primer

So you've found our website (http://takii.pdnmz.com) -- sugoi! But is your computer/Internet device displaying our pages in all of their vivid awesomeness? This "TAKII Website Primer" should resolve a lot of those issues you may encounter, so please read on!

The official website of The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational was built & optimized for use on Mozilla Firefox browsers (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox) with a monitor resolution of at least 1920 x 1080. The next best browser our fans can use would be Google Chrome (https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html) (text comes up slightly fuzzy & alignment shifts, but it still looks fine). Out site also works on Microsoft Edge & Internet Explorer, but you would have an unnecessarily hard time using it). The TAKII website is also mobile friendly, but again, it's meant to be viewed on a desktop/laptop.

Team TAKII website engineers have spent a lot of time fine tuning our website to make sure it loads as fast as possible regardless of one's actual Internet speed. For optimal results, we suggest using high speed Internet access (as some of our content can be rich in multimedia). We'd also be amiss if we didn't ask that our fans allowed pop-ups & adverts to appear on the TAKII website (ie: turning off any browser add-ons that auto-block website ads, etc.). If you fail to do so, you will miss out on extra content meant to enhance your experiences with The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational.

Some portions of our website may also feature Flash &/or custom fonts. When it comes to Flash, we try to make use of it sparingly, but if your browser is blocking it by default, we ask that you turn it on when you browse http://takii.pdnmz.com (or any website in the PDNMZ Empire, for that matter). The latest version(s) of Adobe Flash are available here: https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html. As far as fonts go, we make the most use of Tahoma, but if your browser can't interpret some of the more nuanced fonts we utilize, we encourage you to install them to your computer/device using https://www.dafont.com. No matter what website you use to download fonts, please make sure you're not downloading any malware at the same time.

In closing, we know that not everyone's computer/Internet savy. If that's the case for you, if you need any extra TLC regarding downloading the proper browser, or enabling/disabiling the right browser options, or anything we've discussed above, please reply to this thread or email [email protected] & a member of Team TAKII will be able to assist in a timely fashion.

Q: My adverts are stretched out too far. Can this be fixed?

Unread postby d-chan o^_*o » Tue Jan 09, 2018 2:45 pm

A: On specific areas of the TAKII website, you may see some of our in-house adverts (which you can identify by seeing the pink peach "close" icon in the upper right hand corner of the advert box) cover more territory than they should. This tends to happen if someone's initial target destination on a main TAKII webpage is to an anchored link. If this happens to you, all you will need to do is double-click on your browser window & it will shake out any advert kinks that were present. We hope to process a permanent fix for this in the near future.

Q: Ads show up on my desktop, but not my mobile devices. Why

Unread postby d-chan o^_*o » Mon Jan 15, 2018 1:32 pm

A: In order to enhance accessibility, our ads were turned off on mobile devices (cellphones & tablets) & kept active on all desktop devices. Please keep in mind, however, that our ads contain a lot of useful info & extra incentives, so chances are you will miss a benefit/perk if you aren't viewing our website through a desktop with the specifications we have listed above.
